নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক: রাজ্যে শূণ্য হওয়া দুই আসনের উপনির্বাচনে প্রার্থী ঘোষণা করল তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস ও বামফ্রন্ট। আগামী ২৯ জানুয়ারী উলুবেড়িয়া লোকসভা আসন ও নোয়াপাড়া বিধানসভা আসনে উপনির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।
উলুবেড়িয়ায় তৃণমূলের টিকিট পেয়েছেন সাজদা আহমেদ। তিনি ওই কেন্দ্রের প্রয়াত সাংসদ সুলতান আহমেদের স্ত্রী। তৃণমূলের মহাসচিব পার্থ চট্টোপাধ্যায় এ কথা জানিয়েছেন। সুলতান আহমেদের মৃত্যুর জন্যই এই আসনে উপনির্বাচন হচ্ছে।
একই আসনে বামফ্রন্টের টিকিট সাবিরুদ্দিন মোল্লার পকেটে।
অন্যদিকে নোয়াপাড়া বিধানসভা আসনে রাজ্যের শাসক দলের প্রার্থী সুনীল সিংহ। তিনি গারুলিয়া পুরসভার চেয়ারম্যান। এই আসনের কংগ্রেস বিধায়ক মধুসূদন ঘোষের কয়েকমাস আগে প্রয়াত হন। তাঁর মৃত্যুর জন্য এই আসনে উপনির্বাচন হচ্ছে।
একই আসনে বামফ্রন্ট প্রার্থী গার্গী চট্টোপাধ্যায়।
রাজ্য বামফ্রন্ট চেয়ারম্যান বিমান বসু ওই দুই আসনে তাদের প্রার্থী তালিকা নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
