২৬ বলে সেঞ্চুরী !

ক্রিড়া প্রতিবেদনঃ টেস্ট, ওয়ানডে ও টি২০ এর পর ক্রিকেটের নতুন সসংস্করণ টি-টেন। আয়োজক এবং দর্শকদের তুমুল আগ্রহের এ সংস্করণের প্রথম আসর শেষ হলো সম্প্রতি সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাতে।

প্রথমবারের মতো আয়োজিত টি-টেনের আসরের রেশ কাটতে না কাটতেই পাকিস্তানের মাটিতে টি-টেন ম্যাচের আয়োজন করে শহিদ আফ্রিদি ফাউন্ডেশন। আর আয়োজনের এই চ্যারিটি ম্যাচেই ব্যাট হাতে ঝড় তোলেন বাবর আজম। পাকিস্তান জাতীয় দলের তরুণ ব্যাটসম্যান ২৬ বলে করেন সেঞ্চুরি।

রোববার ফয়সালাবাদে চ্যারিটি ম্যাচে মুখোমুখি হয় এসএএফ রেডস ও এসএএফ গ্রিন। আগে ব্যাটিংয়ে নেমে ১০ ওভারে ২০১ রানের পাহাড় গড়ে এসএএফ রেডস। জবাবে ব্যাটিংয়ে নেমে বাবরের টর্নেডো-সেঞ্চুরিতে দারুণ জয় নিয়ে মাঠ ছাড়ে এসএএফ গ্রিন।

আন্তর্জাতিক টি-টোয়েন্টিতে দুদিন আগেই দ্রুততম (৩৫ বলে, যৌথ) সেঞ্চুরির রেকর্ড গড়েন রোহিত শর্মা। তাকে নিয়ে যখন প্রশংসার জোয়ার বইছে বিশ্ব ক্রিকেট অঙ্গনে ঠিক তখনই নিজের প্রথম টি-টেন ম্যাচে তাণ্ডব বইয়ে দিলেন বাবর আজম।

২৬ বলে সেঞ্চুরির পথে ১১টি ছক্কা এবং ৭টি চারের সাহায্যে দানবীয় সেঞ্চুরি পূর্ণ করেন তিনি। ৩৮৪.৬২ স্ট্রাইক রেটে সেঞ্চুরি করেন বাবর। মাত্র দুটি বল থেকে রান নিতে পারেননি বাবর।

এর আগে এসএএপ রেডসের হয়ে ব্যাট হাতে ঝড় তোলেন শোয়েব মালিক। ২০ বলে ৮৪ রানের ঝোড়ো ইনিংস খেলে অবসরে যান পাকিস্তান জাতীয় দলের তারকা ব্যাটসম্যান। এছাড়া দলটির হয়ে ফখর জামান ২৩ বলে ৭৬ রানের টর্নেডো ইনিংস উপহার দেন।
