সাদ্দাম হোসেন মিদ্দে,ভাঙড়: ওয়াটার এটিএম উদ্বোধন হল ভাঙড় উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ে।পশ্চিমবঙ্গের প্রথম বিদ্যালয় হিসাবে ওয়াটার এটিএম পেল স্কুলটি। জনস্বার্থ কারিগরি দপ্তরের মন্ত্রী মাননীয় সুব্রত মুখার্জি ফিতে কেটে উদ্বোধন করেন। উপস্থিত ছিলেন স্থানীয় বিধায়ক তথা খাদ্য পক্রিয়াকরণ মন্ত্রী আব্দুর রেজ্জাক মোল্লা।এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন স্কুলের পরিচালন সমিতির সভাপতি তথা জেলা পরিষদের সদস্য কাইজার আহমেদ।
মন্ত্রী সুব্রত মুখার্জি বলেন ভাঙড় আর্সেনিক প্রবণ এলাকার অন্তর্গত। এখানকার জলে আর্সেনিক থাকার কারনে নানা রোগের প্রাদুর্ভাব দেখা য়ায়। তাই পরিস্রুত পানীয় জলের উদ্বোধন ভাঙড় উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের কাছে আশীর্বাদ স্বরূপ। এই জল পান করে ৭০ শতাংস রোগ কমানো সম্ভব।
বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক শিক্ষারত্ন ইউসুফ আলী ওয়াটার এটিএম বসানোর জন্য বিদ্যালয় পরিচালন সমিতির সভাপতি তথা দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগণা জেলা পরিষদের সদস্য কাইজার আহমেদকে কৃতঞ্জতা জানান। উল্লেখ্য গত ২০১৪ সালে শতবর্ষ পালন করে বিদ্যালয়টি।
বিদ্যালয়টি ভাঙড় তথা জেলার গৈৗরব বলে মন্তব্য করেন স্থানীয় বিধায়ক তথা মন্ত্রী আব্দুর রেজ্জাক মোল্লা। বিদ্যালয়ের আরাও উন্নতির জন্য তিনি সবরকম সাহায্যের আশ্বাসও দেন।
