মোবাইলে একটি ক্লিকে সাংবাদের ঝাচকচকে শিরোনাম পাঠককে সংবাদের তৃপ্তি দিয়েছে। সাময়িকী থেকে দৈনিক সংবাদপত্র, এমনকি দৈনিক পত্রিকার ই পেপার সংযোজনের বেড়া জাল ভেঙে সংবাদ প্রেমী পাঠক অনলাইন পোর্টালের দিকে ঝুকছে। যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে ইলিনয়েস স্টেট ইউনিভার্সিটি থেকে ১৯৭৪ সালে ‘নিউজ রিপোর্ট’ নামে প্রথম অনলাইন নিউজ পোর্টাল প্রকাশিত হয়। এরপর বিশ্বজুড়ে বিভিন্ন সংবাদপত্র তাদের অনলাইন সংস্করণ চালু করে। তবে ২০০০ সালে যুক্তরাজ্য থেকে প্রকাশিত ‘সাউথপোর্ট রিপোর্টার’ আধুনিক অনলাইন নিউজ পোর্টাল হিসেবে পরিচিতি পায়। সংবাদপত্রে যুগান্তকারী পরিবর্তন ঘটে।
বর্তমানে ভারত বাংলাদেশ মিলে একাধিক অনলাইন নিউজ পোর্টালের উল্লেখ পাওয়া যায়। বাংলাদেশে এর প্রভাব অনেকাংশে বেশী ভারতবর্ষের থেকে। বর্তমানে ভারতের “বাংলা এক্সপ্রেস” নামের একটি অনলাইন নিউজ পোর্টাল এর সূচনা হয়েছে। অল্প দিনের মধ্যে এপার বাংলা উপার বাংলার মানুষের মধ্যে যার বিরাট প্রভাব পড়েছে। সাম্প্রতি বাংলা এক্সপ্রেসের অ্যান্ড্রয়েড অ্যাপ এর সূচনা হয়েছে। বাংলা এক্সপ্রেসের সম্পাদক রাজু আলম জানান, দুই বাংলার নির্জাস মানুষের কথা প্রকাশ করাই আমাদের মূল লক্ষ্য। বিতর্কহীন, চুলচেরা বিশ্লেষনের বাইরে মানুষের প্রয়োজনীয় এবং আকর্ষনীয় সংবাদ তুলে ধরাই আমাদের চ্যালেঞ্জ। আমরা আশা করি সাধারণ মানুষ নিজেদের মোবাইলে আমাদের এই অ্যাপ ইন্সটল করে বাংলা এক্সপ্রেসের প্রদত্ত সংবাদ উপভোগ করবেন।
