পরিতোষ বর্মণঃ শুক্রবার বালুরঘাট রেলস্টেশন পরিদর্শন করলেন কাটিহার ডিভিশনের সিনিয়ার কমান্ডেন্ট মহম্মদ সামশের। পরিদর্শনের পর তিনি ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করলেন রেল স্টেশনের বিভিন্ন বেহাল পরিস্থিতির উপর। এর পাশাপাশি বালুরঘাট রেলস্টেশনের গুরত্ব বিচার করে রেল পুলিশের শক্তি বৃদ্ধির পরিকল্পনা করছে রেল দফতর বলে তিনি জানান।
দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর জেলার একটা গুরত্বপূর্ণ রেলস্টেশন বালুরঘাট। কিন্তু জেলার সদর শহরের স্টেশনের চিত্রটা দেখলে এর গুরুত্বের কথা মনেই হবে না। পরিকাঠামোহীন এই বালুরঘাট ষ্টেশনে না রয়েছে পর্যাপ্ত সুরক্ষা ব্যবস্থা, না রয়েছে অন্যান্য গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রয়োজনীয় কাঠামো। তবে বর্তমানে এই স্টেশনের অবস্থার একাধিক উন্নয়নমূলক কাজে গুরুত্ব দিতে শুরু করেছে রেল প্রশাসন। কাটিহার ডিভিশনের সিনিয়ার কমাডেন্ট মহম্মদ সামসের জানান, স্টেশনের পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে এবার বাড়তে চলেছে বালুরঘাট স্টেশনের সুরক্ষা ব্যাবস্থার। বৃদ্ধি হতে চলেছে রেল পুলিশের শক্তি ও সুরক্ষা ব্যবস্থার।
