খবরইন্ডিয়াঅনলাইনঃ পাকিস্তানের প্রাক্তন অধিনায়ক ওয়াসিম আক্রামের গাড়ি লক্ষ্য করে বন্দুকধারীরা গুলি ছুঁড়েছেন। বুধবার নিজের গাড়িতে করে করাচির জাতীয় স্টেডিয়ামে যাওয়ার পথে এই হামলার শিকার হন তিনি। তবে বিশ্বকাপজয়ী এই তারকা অক্ষত রয়েছেন, হামলায় তার কোনো ক্ষতি হয়নি।
নিউ ইয়র্ক টাইমস জানায়, দুজন অপরিচিত বন্দুকধারী করাচির জাতীয় স্টেডিয়ামের কাছাকাছি কারসাজ কোডের কাছে ওয়াসিম আক্রামের গাড়িকে লক্ষ্য করে গুলি ছুঁড়ে। তবে এই ঘটনায় তার কোনো ক্ষতি হয়নি।
ঘটনার সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই ওয়াসিম আক্রাম পুলিশের সাহায্য চেয়ে পাঠান এবং এই ঘটনায় একটি মামলা দায়ের করেন। পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে তদন্ত শুরু করেছে।
তবে পাকিস্তানের দ্য ডন জানিয়েছে, রাস্তায় গাড়ি জ্যামে আটকে পড়া অবস্থায় দুজন ব্যক্তি পরস্পরের সঙ্গে বিবাদে জড়িয়ে পড়েন এবং একে অন্যকে লক্ষ্য করে গুলি ছুঁড়লে ওয়াসিম আক্রামের গাড়ির টায়ারে গিয়ে আঘাত হানে।
পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, আক্রমণের লক্ষ্যবস্তু আক্রাম ছিলেন না। তবে ভাগ্য ভালো, যেকোনো দুর্ঘটনা ঘটতে পারতো।
তবে ওয়াসিম আক্রম পুলিশের বক্তব্যের সঙ্গে একমত নন। তিনি জানিয়েছেন, তাকে লক্ষ্য করেই গুলি ছোঁড়া হয়েছে।
