খবরইন্ডিয়াঅনলাইনঃ সিরিয়ায় সরকারি বাহিনীর বিমান হামলায় ১৭ শিশুসহ অন্তত ৩৯ জন নিহত হয়েছেন। লন্ডনভিত্তিক মানবাধিকার সংস্থা দ্য সিরিয়ান অবজার্ভেটরি ফর হিউম্যান রাইটস বৃহস্পতিবার এ কথা বলেছে।
সংস্থাটি বলেছে, আলেপ্পো প্রদেশের সরকারবিরোধীদের নিয়ন্ত্রিত অঞ্চলে বুধবার থেকে হামলা শুরু করে সিরিয়ার সেনাবাহিনী। এ ছাড়া সর্বশেষ হামলায় বেশ কিছু বেসামরিক লোক আহত হয়েছেন বলে জানিয়েছে সংস্থাটি। সিরিয়ায় গৃহযুদ্ধ শুরুর পর থেকে তা পর্যবেক্ষণ করে আসছে দ্য সিরিয়ান অবজার্ভেটরি ফর হিউম্যান রাইটস।
প্রসঙ্গত, সিরিয়া সরকার অনেক আগে থেকেই বিরোধীদের নিয়ন্ত্রিত অঞ্চলে বিমান থেকে ব্যারেল বোমা, ক্রড বোমাসহ বিভিন্ন বিস্ফোরক দ্রব্য নিক্ষেপ করে আসছে বলে অভিযোগ করছে মানবাধিকার সংগঠনগুলো। কিন্তু সিরিয়া সরকার বরাবরই তা অস্বীকার করে আসছে।
প্রসঙ্গত, ২০১১ সালে আরব অভ্যুত্থানের সময় প্রেসিডেন্ট বাশার আল আসাদের পদত্যাগের দাবি তুললে দেশটিতে শুরু হয় গৃহযুদ্ধ। চার বছরের বেশি সময় ধরে চলা এই গৃহযুদ্ধে দুই লাখের বেশি লোক মারা গেছে। তাছাড়া উদ্বাস্তু হয়েছে কয়েক লাখ লোক।
